Mr. Clyde Evan Williams II , age 44, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Erlanger Hospital. Clyde was born July 23, 1978 in Dalton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Evan Williams Sr., grandparents, Inez Smith, Ciola Williams, John Henry Williams, He was a 1997 graduate Northwest High School. He worked for the Whitfield County Road Department. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 105 and on the Varnell City Council. He was a faithful member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Bridget Ray Williams of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Morgan and D.J. Godfrey of Rome, GA; son, Clyde Evan Williams III "Trey" of Cohutta, GA; mother and step father, Cynthia and Ricky Blackwell of Cohutta, GA; brother, Phillip Williams of Newnan, GA; special pet, Ollie; grand dog, Hannah; several uncles, aunts, cousins and many special friends.

Celebration of life service will be held Saturday March 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Maple Grove Baptist Church with Brother Dennis Ray officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the college fund for his son, Trey Williams.
