Mr. Clarence Eugene Nigh age 66, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Wood Dale Health Care Center. Clarence was born March 20, 1948 in Rushville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Herschel Dale Nigh Sr., daughter, Dorothy Sue Nigh, brothers, Danny Nigh, Dale Nigh Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Nigh of the residence; mother, Dorothy Nigh of Muncie, IN; daughters and sons-in-law, Christine Nigh, Amy and Tony Moss, Keri and Timmy Tate of Resaca, GA, Sherry and Colin Keating, Shana and Chris Putnam of Dalton, GA; special son, Eric Atkins of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Derrith Nigh of New Castle, IN; sisters and brother-in-law, Diane Hartley of Muncie, IN, Donna and Dean Orr of Shelbyville, IN; sister-in-law, Betty Nigh of Newcastle, IN grandchildren, Tyler, Isaac, Chelsea, Allen, Matthew, Hunter, Colby, Christian, Blaze; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Clarence Eugene Nigh will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Scott Parrish officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
