Mr. Clarence Stephens Jr., age 65, of Lafayette, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the Erlanger Medical Center. He was born October 4, 1954 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Stephens Sr., mother, Cora Lee Brown Cole, brothers, Charles Nix, Clint Nix, James Nix, sisters, Mary Kokala, Barbara Baggett.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Russel of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Tony Blevins of Villanow, GA; six grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Wednesday June 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with David Nix and Larry Scoggins officiating. Interment will follow in the Cove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Due to the national health crisis crowd restrictions and social distancing is recommended.
