Mr. Christopher "Hard Luck" Coker age 51 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday July 12, 2023 at his residence.

Chris was born April 18, 1972 in Dalton, Georgia. He was a 1990 graduate of Northwest High School.

He was preceded in death by his father, David E. Coker, a sister, Jennifer "Jenny" Coker Rogers, a nephew, Ethan Coker, and his father-in-law, Reverend George Nicholson.

He is survived by the mother of his child, Jennifer Coker; mother, Kay Coker; son, Andrew Coker all of Dalton, GA; brothers, Andy and Jessica Coker of Rocky Face, GA, and Jeff Coker of Johnson, GA; brother-in-law, Allen Rogers of Dalton, GA; mother-in-law, Lennie Nicholson of Dalton, GA; nephews and nieces, Matthew Rogers, Kaylee Rogers, Caden Coker, Connor Coker, Blakley Dodson, Hadleigh Cronic, Aikley Cronic and Santiago Avila; several aunts and uncles.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Christopher "Hard Luck" Coker will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor John Dorsey, Pastor John Everett, Pastor Andy Coker officiating.

He will be laid to rest with his family at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery and Mausoleum with John Gowen, Derek Hicks, Mark Carnes, Shannon Campbell, Andrew Coker, Caden Coker and Matt Rogers serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 12:00 p.m. Saturday until the service hour.
