Mr. Christopher Michael Baggett, age 46, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the local hospital. Chris was born October 20, 1976 in Dalton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Patsy Boyd Baggett.

He is survived by his dad Jerry Cranmore; mom Susan Baggett Rich and husband Dale Rich; brothers and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Davina Baggett of Tunnel Hill, GA, Jason and Rachel McAllister of Graysville, Tn; sisters and brother-in-law, Keisha Smith of Crandall, GA, Constance and Tino Torres of Dalton, GA, Courtney Cranmore of Cleveland, TN and several nieces and nephews.

He loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed fishing and knew how to navigate the entire Watts Bar Lake from a young age with his papa.  He liked gardening and canning with his granny.  He was a talker and most times it was hard to get a word in edgewise.  He found a friend in anyone he met.  He was a proud sponsor of St. Jude, Veterans of Foreign Wars, The Humane Society, Whitfield County Sheriff Association, and Smithsonian Institute just to name a few .  It's not what you acquire in this life but how much you can give to others.  He enjoyed singing, songwriting, and playing a guitar.  This world will not be the same now that he has left us.  He went to eternity with our Savior Jesus.  Chris has reached the final goal and has victory before us to a place of peace that we can can only hope to have one day.  He will be missed.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Christopher Michael Baggett will be held Tuesday March 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend John Dotson officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
