Mrs. Mildred Christine Baker Hullender, age 77, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life Thursday morning, December 18, 2025, at her home.

Christine was born June 4, 1948, in Hill City, Georgia, a daughter of the late Roy Paul and Virginia Elizabeth Tally Baker.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Hullender, sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bobby Owens, a sister-in-law, Betty Baker and brother-in-law, Joe Hullender.

Christine was a hard worker, loved country music and spending time with her family. Following the death of her husband in 1987, she raised her children and was their rock and guiding light.  She was their everything.

She is survived by her daughter, Darlene M. Hullender; son, David Lee Hullender both of Cohutta, GA; grandchildren, Erin J. and Erin E. Hullender, Erica D. Cole, Ezra J. Cole, and Hailey K. Cole; great-grandchildren, Weston Hullender and one on the way; brothers, Richard Baker, Marvin Baker both of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Don McGinnis, Doris and Larry Smith both of Dalton, GA, and Janet and Reed Franks of Resaca, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wallace Hullender of Tunnel Hill, ,GA, Imogene Green of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, and Kathy Hullender of Tunnel Hill, GA; several nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mildred Christine Baker Hullender will be held Tuesday, December, 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with her family and close friends sharing their memories and thoughts of love.  She will be laid to rest with her husband at Varnell Cemetery with Erin Hullender, Ezra Cole, Brian McSpadden, Preston Parker, Reed Franks, and Cole Calloway honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
