Mrs. Christine Ellen Goforth, 71, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday morning, June 30, 2019 in the comfort of her home with her loving husband and family by her side. She was born March 23, 1948 in Eton, GA, a daughter of the late Walter and Kate Solomon Standridge. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Kathryn Patterson and Carolyn Henderson. She was a 1966 graduate of Valley Point High School. On October 20, 1966 she married her loving husband Fred Goforth of Dalton, GA. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Heather Goforth of Powder Springs, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Brett Cripps of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis Standridge of Chatsworth, GA, Willard Standridge, Carlos Standridge of Ellijay, GA, Robert and Katy Standridge, David and Elaine Standridge of Chatsworth, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and James Bloodworth of Alabama, Mildred Atkins, Sue Goforth of Chatsworth, GA, Evelyn Rymer, Linda Standridge of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Kristin Hill, Emily and JT Waid, Sarah Goforth, Alexis Goforth; great grandchildren, Aiden Waid; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Christine Ellen Goforth will be held Saturday July 6, 2019 at6 1:00 p.m. at McFarland Hills Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
