Mr. Christian Ferdinand Neckien, age 88, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the local hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 21, 1927 in Germany, a son of the late Ferdinand and Freida Neckien. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ursula Neckien, brother, Dietrich Neckien.

He is survived by his sister, Urte Marie Jensen; sister-in-law, Christa Neckien; nieces and nephews, Uwe Jensen, Andrea Neckien all of Dalton, GA, Anna and Charles Meadors of Tunnel Hill, GA, Caress Neckien of Chattanooga, TN, Ulaf Jensen of Washington; several great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday August 21, 2016. Interment will follow in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus New Jersey.
