Mr. Christian Hunter Gillespie, age 19, of Chatsworh, GA, departed this life, Wednesday August 18, 2021 at his home. He was born April 16, 2002 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David L. Gillespie, grandmother, Gail Morgan, great grandparents, Jr. and Mary Lou Gillespie, Charles Chastain, cousin, Freddie Allen Jr.

He is survived by his parents, Kirstie and Kahlis Staton of Chatsworth, GA, Timothy Lyles of Dalton, GA; girlfriend, Casey Mengel; brothers, Kameron Staton, Kalem Staton, Kingston Staton, Ky Staton of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Kahlia Carlton and niece Kenzie of Memphis, TN; grandmother, Brenda Kendrick of Chatsworth, GA; great grandmothers, Frances Chastain of Dalton, GA, Sue McClure of North Carolina; special cousins, Jacob, Tiara, Gracie and Jordan Chastain; aunts and uncles, David and Charlotte Cothern, Sandy and Freddie Allen Sr., Elaine and Donnie Chastain; special friends, J.C. Winters, Paige Millsap; special aunt Cassi Gillespie; a number of loving cousins, loving friends.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Christian Hunter Gillespie will be held Tuesday August 24, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Reverend Hugh Burdette officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday. Tuesday he will lie in state from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family request everyone to wear a mask while in the building for visitation and funeral service.
