Ms. Cheryl Ann Davenport, age 63, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at her residence. Born on September 5, 1961, in Chatsworth, Georgia, Cheryl was the beloved daughter of Eloise Manis Weaver and the late Randall Weaver.
Cheryl's life was a testament to her unwavering dedication and resilience. For many years, she worked at J & J Industries/Engineered Floors, where she excelled as an International Specialist, navigating the complexities of imports and exports with expertise and grace. Her professional success was matched by her fierce independence and remarkable work ethic.
Beyond her career, Cheryl's greatest passion was her family. Her love for them was boundless and unyielding. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, Cheryl's family was the center of her universe. She embraced her role with a deep, abiding affection, always putting their needs and well-being above all else. Her fierce love was matched only by her willingness to speak her mind, a trait that was both admired and cherished by those who knew her.
Cheryl is survived by her mother, Eloise Manis Weaver; her daughter, Amy Satterfield; her son and daughter-in-love, Aaron and Shereiva Davenport; her cherished grandchildren, Heaven Prenzlow, Devan Sheppard, Briyanna Davenport, Ayden Davenport, Ahna Satterfield, and Aniston Satterfield; the father of her children, Anthony Davenport; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Terri Dale of Slater, IA, Michael and Sharee of West Lake, LA, Ronnie Wade Dale, Jr., of Shreveport, LA, Richard Dale of South Texas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhonda Broadway of Shreveport, LA, Angela and Bruce Bryant of Dalton, GA, Sandra and Bill Oliver of Chatsworth, GA; a cousin she called her "Soul Sister", Juanita Goforth of Dalton, GA; aunts, Betty Mosteller of Washington State, and Nell Goforth of Dalton, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Her life will be celebrated on Tuesday evening, September 10, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour. In honoring Cheryl, her family and friends will come together to share their love, memories, and the profound impact she made on their lives.
Cheryl Ann Davenport's legacy is one of steadfast dedication to her family, hard work, and an indomitable spirit. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
