Mr. Charlie Long age 90, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, May 2, 2021, at home. He was born October 11, 1930 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late James Herbert and Ida Mae Long. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Long, a sister, Katherine Hill. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, past Master at the Hill City Masonic Lodge and a truck driver for over 40 years.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Darrel and Sheila Long, Ben Long, Daniel Long; daughters and sons-in-law, Ida and J.T. Terrill, JoAnn and Sam Williams, Patricia Long, and Lisa and Daniel Morgan; grandchildren, Jacob and Sherry Long, James and Shena Terrill, Jessie and Ross Raulston, Jeff and Allie Allen, Jeremy and Caroline Anthony, Josh and Julia Morgan; great grandchildren, Charlie, Audrey, Jackson, Avery, Juan, Evelyn, Luis, Genesis, Khloe, Liam.

A Masonic Graveside service will be held Thursday May 6, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Dunagan Cemetery, Rocky Face, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
