Mr. Charlie Ledford, age 89, of Tunnel Hill, GA, departed this life, Thursday October 26, 2017 at his home. Charlie was born July 4, 1928 in Dalton, GA, the son of the late Boss Ledford and Julia Beasley Ledford. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ross Ledford Jr, sister, Dot Jones. Charlie proudly served in the United States Army; Field Artillery. Charlie enjoyed gardening, walking and raising his beagles and square dancing with his long- time friend Vira Curtis. Mr. Charlie Ledford is survived by his sisters, Lynn Cooper and Lena (Thomas) Blakemore. Charlie is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great nephews. Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Charlie Ledford will be held Thursday November 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Brother George Cross officiating. Charlie will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Michael Ledford, Thomas Blakemore, George Jones, Stephen Hope, Wayne Belk, and Anthony Martinez

serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Thursday November 2, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.
