Mr. Charles William White, age 82, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the local hospital. Charles was born February 8, 1932 in Murphy, North Carolina, a son of the late John C. and Ella Swanson White. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Charles Edward White, Billy Troy White, brothers, Homer White, George White, Harley White, Lewis White, Joe White, sisters, Onie Green, Alice Crisp.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Jane Crowder White; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Joy White of Chatsworth, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Terry Allen of Dalton, GA; sisters, Mae Crowder of Dalton, GA, Florence Burger of Ducktown, TN; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild on the way.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Charles William White will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Neal Hasty officiating. He will be laid to rest at the United Memorial Gardens with Shawn White, Jake White, Joshua Allen, Lora Beth Allen, Kevin Cline and Laynea Allen serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
