Mr. Charles Ernest Prince, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Quinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Charles was born July 13, 1935 in Union County, GA, a son of the late George and Lura Headen Prince. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty eight years, Annie Mae Prince, brother, Junior Prince, stepbrother, Arthur Voyles, stepsisters, Tishey Woody, Lydia Thomas, Ruby Tilson, Delthea Rogers.

He is survived by his; sister, Betty Tanner of Murphy, NC; special friends, Jimmy Harrison of Dalton, GA, Susan Wright of Tunnel Hill, GA, George Hammock of Resaca, GA; sister-in-law, Pauline Prince of Dalton, GA nieces and nephews, Patsy and Mickey Botts of Blairsville, GA, Jean Wallace of Morganton, GA, Glenda Sosebee of Dalton, GA, Jerry Prince of Dalton, GA, Katherine Franklin of Morganton, GA, Carol and Carl Ross of Mineral Bluff, GA.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Charles Ernest Prince will be held Tuesday September 6, 2016 at 12:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Raymond English and Reverend Lawrence Wagnon officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Union County, GA, with Transito Gomez, George Hammock, Lail Sailes, Jimmy Harrison, Jerry Townson and Charles Townson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
