Mr. Charles William "Bill" Morgan age 85, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2022, at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia.

Bill was born July 30, 1936, in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late William M. and Effie Kincaid Morgan.  He was also preceded in death by his sons, Chris Morgan, Jeff Morgan and Michael Morgan, a daughter, Tammy Wheat, a sister, Geneva Lewis and brothers, Kenneth Ray Morgan and John Harden.

Bill was a wonderful person who enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He was a fan of Elvis and a ladies' man.  He never met a stranger.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Brownlee Morgan of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Megan Nicholson of Marietta, GA,  Eddie Nicholson of Deltona, FL, Pam Morgan of Chatsworth, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Ferrick, and Dana Wheat both of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Beth Morgan, Amy and Ken Brown, Whitney and Darren Howard, and Hayden Ferrick; great-grandchildren, Jade Brown and Gage Brown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James Lewis of Rocky Face, GA, James and Ann Brownlee of Dalton, GA, Diane and Raymond Parker of Rocky Face, GA, Mary and Roy Hunt of Dalton, GA, and Michael Cochran of Marietta, GA; special friend, Charlene Bramlett of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Charles William "Bill" Morgan will be held Friday morning, July 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with his brothers-in-law, Reverend James Brownlee and Reverend James Lewis officiating.  He will be laid to rest with his family at Ponders Murray Memorial Gardens with Jacob Christian, Ken Brown, Darren Howard, Hayden Ferrick, Rick Davis, and Eddie Nicholson honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday morning until the service hour.
