Mr. Charles Edward "Ed" Brown, age 69, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday evening, December 20, 2013 at the local hospital. Ed was born January 10, 1944 in Dalton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica Renee Brown, sons, Jeremy Charleston Brown and Andrew Lee Brown and his father, James Edward Brown.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Wanda Carroll Brown; son, Jeffery Brown of Chattanooga, TN; mother and step-father, Evenly and Bill Roach of Cohutta, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Marseille and Jack Mitchell of Cleveland, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Irene Brown of Cohutta, GA; father-in-law, Joseph Robert Carroll of Dalton, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Charles Edward "Ed" Brown will be held Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Trey Starnes officiating. He will be laid to rest at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 1:00 p.m. Sunday until the service hour.
