Mr. Cecil Dewayne Caldwell, Sr., age 57, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his home. Cecil was born July 16, 1956 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late R.B. Bud" and Margie "Midge" Knight Caldwell. Cecil was formerly employed at Shaw Industries and was a member of The Church of God of the Union Assembly on Dalton Pike.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Deborah Sneed Caldwell of the home; daughters, Tosha Capehart and Tammy Caldwell; sons, Dewayne Caldwell and Timmy Caldwell; grandchildren, Brandon, Tanner, Alex, Shania, Tristen, Keligh, Asia, Brooklyn, Devon, A.J. and Logan; great-grandchildren, Sophia and David; brother, Jessie Caldwell; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Cecil Dewayne Caldwell, Sr. will be held Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Charlon Bradford officiating. He will be laid to rest at Little Prospect Memorial Cemetery. His close friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
