Mr. Cayetano Acuna, age 57, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, July 24, 2019 at the Erlanger Health in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Cayetano was born April 15, 1962, in Las Mesitas Matus, Mexico, a son of the late Andres and Maria Miranda Acuna.   Cayetano was very funny, outgoing, and loved sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.  He was a proud father and grandfather and loved his family deeply.  He was a devout Christian and a member of the Apolistic Church in Chatsworth, Georgia.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Gabriel and Claudia Acuna of Dalton, GA, Miguel and Janette Acuna of Queretaro, Mexico; daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Omar Nunez of Dalton, GA, Miriam and Josue Padilla of Dalton, GA, and Beatriz and David Gomez of Matthews, NC; fourteen grandchildren, Austin Davis, Sean Davis, Sherlin Nunez, Kaleb Padilla, Kaylee Padilla, Natalie Padilla, Haley Gomez, Emily Gomez, Lesley Gomez, David Samuel Gomez, Lucas Acuna, Madeline Acuna, Yatziri Acuna and Isabella Acuna; mother of his children, Maria Delia Hurtado of Dalton, GA; brothers, Esteban Acuna of Gainesville, GA, Gaspar Acuna and Baldo Acuna both of Mexico City, Mexico; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Cayetano Acuna will be held Saturday morning, July 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend David Gomez, Reverend Sergio Giron and Reverend Dan Padilla officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Austin Davis, Gabriel Acuna, Kaleb Padilla, Omar Nunez, David Gomez, Efrain Acuna and Josue Pailla honored to serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the service hour.
