Carrie Leanne Nicholson, age 43, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on December 21, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 28, 1982.

Carrie was a devoted partner, mother, daughter, sister, and granddaughter whose life was centered around her love for family. She is survived by her partner, Billy Slaughter of Calhoun, Georgia; her children, Montana Slaughter and Weston Slaughter of Calhoun, Georgia; her mother, Terri Bailey of Chatsworth, Georgia; her father, Gary Nicholson of Blue Ridge, Georgia; her brother, DK Nicholson (Lisa) of Calhoun, Georgia; her grandmother, Dee Allen of Chatsworth, Georgia; her grandfather, George Cousins of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and many extended family members who loved her deeply.

Carrie was known by all who loved her as a true "Momma Bear"—a fierce protector of her family and someone who loved deeply. She had a huge heart and always put others before herself. Being a mother was one of Carrie's greatest joys. She loved her children without limit. Carrie had a special gift for bringing people together. She loved organizing family get-togethers and took great joy in caring for others. When speaking of her family, Carrie often said, "My cup runneth over," a simple phrase that reflected the deep gratitude, joy, and love that filled her life.

Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will live on through the family she cherished so dearly. Services to celebrate the life of Carrie Leanne Nicholson will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Haven of Rest Cemetery with Weston Slaughter, DK Nicholson, Mitch Allen, Justin Bailey, Josh Clark, and Ryan Slaughter honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel on Tuesday December 30, 2025 after 12:00 p.m. noon until the service hour.
