Mrs. Carolyn Mae Turner age 81 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Wednesday May 22, 2019 at the local hospital. She was born September 30, 1937 in Cherry Log, GA, a daughter of the late Mark and Dimple Grant Brown. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Brown, sisters, Paralee Youmans, Gladys Netherton, Charlotte Tallent. She was a member of Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Vernon L. Turner of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Sherry Turner of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle Turner Alexander and Mark Alexander of Gainesville, GA, Leigh Turner Smith and Andrew Smith of Dalton, GA; sister, Emily Brown of Rocky Face, GA; grandchildren, Alyssa Smith of Dalton, Boone Alexander, Pete Alexander of Gainesville, GA, Ema Turner, Mason Turner of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carolyn Mae Turner will be held Sunday May 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald Guffey and Reverend Robert Beavers officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Place Cemetery with James Long, Mike Smith, Randy Tallent, George Tallent, Roger Smith and Steve Anderson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
