Mrs. Carolyn Annette Spears Swim, , 49, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life early Friday morning, February 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Carolyn was born in California on October 29, 1967, a daughter of the late Samuel Edward Swim and Elsie Jean Johnson Swim Parker.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Misty Starr and her husband Manuel Gonzalez of Dalton; son, Steven Alan Spears of Cartersville, Georgia; sister, Sherry Swim, Rena Hall, and Debbie Swim all of Dalton, Georgia; brother, Samuel Swim of Dalton, Georgia; very special friends, Genna Singleton and Stephanie Baker both of Dalton, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends also survive.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carolyn Swim will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Brother George Cross officiating.

Carolyn will be laid to rest beside her mother at the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park with Terry Swim, Gregory Crider, Terry Crider, Austin Cordell, Sam Swim, and Brandon Morgan honored to serve as pallbearers.

Carolyn's family will receive friends on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home.
