Mrs. Carolyn Brock "Grandma" Marcus, age 76, of Resaca, Georgia departed this life Sunday evening, March 7, 2021 at Hamilton Medical Center.

Carolyn was born December 4, 1944 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late R. B. and Julia Ingle Brock. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Thomas Herman Marcus who died April 12, 2019, her infant son, Thomas Herman Marcus Jr. who died in July of 1960, a daughter-in-law, Kelli Marcus who died August 30, 2019, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Porter Maxwell and Lena Marcus.  Carolyn was a homemaker and worked several years at Hamilton Home Healthcare. She was a member of the Center Point Baptist Church.

Carolyn was beloved by her entire family.  She loved to garden and taught her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to love God, one another, and those less fortunate than them.  She loved her husband dearly and missed him every day since his passing and now they are reunited in the presence of Christ forever.

Carolyn is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Darlene Marcus and Michael Allen of Resaca, GA; son, Rick Marcus of Resaca, GA; son and daughter-in-law Reverend Wayne and Tammy Marcus of Eastanollee, GA; grandchildren, Andy Marcus, Tasha Scroggs, Noel Pauley, Jacob Allen, David Marcus, Brittany Dagnan; sister, Wanda Johnson; special friend, Bonnie Stacy  both of Dalton, GA; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carolyn Brock Marcus will be held Wednesday morning, March 10, 2021 at 11:00 o'clock a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Wayne Marcus, Reverend George Ross, and Reverend Matt Futch officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery with Jacob Allen, David Marcus, Tyler Scroggs, Shane Pauley Alex Dagnan, and Bartolo Ortiz serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 o'clock p.m. until 9:00 o'clock p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday and after 9:00 o'clock a.m. Wednesday until the service hour.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Greater Works of Dalton, 1001 S. Thornton Ave., Dalton, GA, 30720.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
