Miss Carolyn Ann Ghorley, age 68, of Fairmount, Georgia, departed this life Thursday evening, October 19, 2023 at AdventHealth Redmond in Rome, Georgia.

Carolyn was born November 21, 1954, in Chatsworth, Georgia, a daughter of the late, John Richard and Beulah Anna Land Ghorley.  She was also preceded in death by an infant brother, General Lee Ghorley and sisters, Shirley Edge and Brenda Duvall.  When she was younger she attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Carolyn was autistic and was cared for by her sisters, Mary McDaniel of Fairmount, GA, and Diane Morrison of Calhoun, GA; aunt, Pauline Jones of Dalton, GA; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Miss Carolyn Ann Ghorley will be held Monday evening, October 23, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Ponders Fairmount Chapel with Reverend Wilbur Ridings officiating.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Fairmount Chapel (2655 Hwy. 411, Fairmount, GA, 30139) from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and all day Monday until the service hour.
