Mrs. Carolyn Faye Galvan, age 46 of Dalton, GA., departed this life, Sunday May 3, 2015 at the local hospital. Carolyn was born February 7, 1969 in Cleveland, TN. She was preceded in death by her father. Lee Roy Jackson. She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ruben Galvan Jr. of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Jepser Herrera, Alicia Galvan and Fiance Julio De Dios, Miranda Galvan all of Dalton, GA; mother and stepfather, Barbara Moore Jackson and Johnny Pelham of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Brenda Baggett, Cynthia Ellis, Sharon Jackson all of Cleveland, TN; sister-in-law, Shannon Ramirez of Dalton, GA; best friend, Leah Roach of Cohutta, GA; grandchildren, Arturo Herrera, Sayda Hernandez, Rebecca Hernandez, Jeyson Herrera, Leeanna Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, Giovanni De Dios, Maykayla Herrera; favorite dog, Bella.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carolyn Faye Galvan will be held Thursday May 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Freedom Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Wood officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Cohutta, GA with Joshua Baggett, Jesper Herrera, Julio De Dios, Edward Galvan, Augustine Galvan and Derrick Hall serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ponders Melrose Chapel, Dalton, GA.
