Mrs. Carolyn Marie Farner, age 63, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the local hospital. She was born October 19, 1953 in Ringgold, GA, a daughter of the late Jerry and Lena Haynes McTaggart. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Buster McTaggart, sisters, Genny Reed, Pam Layman.

She is survived by her husband, Jamie Farner; son, Tim Baker of Dalton, GA; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carolyn Marie Farner will be held Tuesday February 14, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Joe Baker and Reverend Roger Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
