Mrs. Caroline Hall Scissom, age 77, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Monday, April 14, 2025, at AdventHealth Gordon Hospital in Calhoun, Georgia.

Caroline was born April 28, 1947, in Baxley, Georgia, a daughter of the late Alvin and Mattie Lee Hall.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Lawson Scissom who died in 2007, her brother, Wilton Hall, and sisters, Dorothy White, Eloise Crosby and Margaret Turner.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina Rena and David Flatters of Cisco, GA; grandchildren, Jason Scissom, Kenneth Flatters, Lena Flatters-Smith and Jarrett Smith; sisters and brother-in-law, Helen and David Arnold of Rocky Face, GA, Virginia Dixon of Dalton, GA, and Betty Rentz of Baxley, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Brother Clyde McEntyre officiating. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband.
