Mrs. Carol McCurdy Hullender, age 67 of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday morning, February 1, 2017. Carol was born March 5, 1949 in Dalton, GA, to William Bruce McCurdy Jr. and the late Dessie Brock McCurdy. She was a lifelong member of Maddox Chapel Baptist Church and leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, hope and love for all that had the honor to know her.

Carol leaves behind her husband, Joe Hullender of Ellijay, GA; her very special daughter, Stephanie Richardson of the residence, as well as her son-in-law, Billy and beloved grandchildren Katlyn, Tyler and Adrian. She is also survived by her father, William McCurdy and wife Ruby of Dalton, GA; brother, James and Brenda McCurdy of Chatsworth, GA, sister, Glenda and Don Campbell of Dalton, GA; brother, Roger and Doris McCurdy of Dalton, GA; brother, Don and Kay McCurdy of Chatsworth, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and her loving and gracious church family at Maddox Chapel Baptist Church.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carol McCurdy Hullender will be held Saturday February 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Shadwick officiating. Interment will follow in the Brock Family Cemetery with Steven McCurdy, Mark McCurdy, Tim McCurdy, Jason McCurdy, Matthew McCurdy and Wayne Campbell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday February 3, 2017.
