Mrs. Carol Ann Fairbanks Bassett, age 66 of Resaca, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday morning, Nov. 26, 2013 at the Gordon Hospital in Calhoun, Georgia surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born June 21, 1947 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Arthur and Georgia Weaver Fairbanks Sr. She is preceeded in deathby her brother Arthur Fairbanks Jr. and a sister Juanita Friedeborn. She was members of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Moultonboro Fire Rescue Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband David Bassett of the residence, sons and daughter in law; Scott Bassett of Tavares, Florida, Christopher Bassett and Raymond and Bonnie Bassett all of Moultonboro, NH, A daughter Kerri Bassett of Resaca. Carol has twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Janet Cressey of Valdosta, GA and a brother Charles Fairbanks of Columbus, GA as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday November 30 2013.
