Mr. Carl "Clinton" Welch, age 66, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 7, 1947 in Rome, GA, a son of the late Luther Willard and Frances Ola Collins Welch. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Leon Welch.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Welch; special pet, Lala; daughters and son-in-law, Tonya Welch and TJ Corn; sons and daughters-in-law, Carl Dean and Jennifer Welch, Kenneth Welch and Kathryn Sexton, Marcus Wayne Welch and Sherry Lloyd all of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Ethan Arnold, Felecia Welch, Selena Watson, Ashley Moore, Tifany Moore, Julie Welch, Kayla Lloyd; great grandchildren, Shelby and Braxton; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Carl "Clinton" Welch will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gary McPherson officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with TJ Corn, Dewayne Manis, Kevin Arnold, David Grant, Brian Welch and Gary Welch serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday February 21, 2014.
