Mr. Carl "Tony" Thomas Marie, age 92, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Sunday February 20, 2022 at the local hospital. He was born April 30, 1929 in Louisville, KY, a son of the late John H. Marie and Ida Brewer. He was also preceded in death by his darling wife of 42 years Emma M. Marie, granddaughter Erica Tate, brothers, Jack Marie, Bob Marie, sister, Judy Worley. He was a Deacon at the Church of God of the Union Assembly for 50 plus years.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Theda Louise Bryson Marie of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Gene and Ann Marie of Knoxville, TN, David and Susan Marie of Leicester NY, Wayne and Tina Marie of Knoxville, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Dale Paul of Powell, TN, Patty and Donnie Tate of Marietta, GA, Shelly and Lance Thornsburg of Powell, TN; stepsons, Steve and Loretta Bryson, Reverend Michael Bryson, Greg and Shelly Bryson; 22 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses at Hamilton Medical Center, Maryann, Amy and Fatima.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Carl "Tony" Thomas Marie will be held Thursday February 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Church of God of the Union Assembly Chatsworth, GA with Reverend Jason Bell and Reverend Paul Thomas Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Spring Place Memorial Gardens with Paul T. Marie, Shandon Paul, Tony Paul, Brad Paul, Sam Thornsburg, J. Paul Marie, Sean Marie, LeBrandon Marie, Jaron Tate, Todd Tate, Eric Tate, Shane Tate, Christie Bell, Heather Kitchens, Emily Cornett and Tara Cagle serving as pallbearers.
