Mr. Carl Edward Hasty age 87 of Ringgold, Georgia, departed this life Monday June 19, 2017 at the local hospital. Carl was born April 1, 1930 in Rocky Face, Georgia a son of the late Austin "Jack" and Lucille McClure Hasty. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian "Polly" Hasty, daughter, Linda Brackett, brothers; Harold and Fred Hasty. Carl was a member of Lindsey Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Regina Hasty of the residence; daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer and Tim Harrison of Dalton, GA, Rhonda Hasty of Dalton, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Darlene Hasty of Dalton, GA, Wayne Hasty of Dalton, GA. He is also survived by brothers and sisters in law; John and Janice Hasty of Dalton, GA, Charles and Dee Hasty of Dalton, GA, Gerald "Brother" and Laura Hasty of Ranger, GA, sisters and brothers in law; Edith Ledford of Chatsworth, GA, Barbara and Jerry Hawkins of Rocky Face, GA, Kathy and David Arkin of Calhoun, GA. He had 13 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Carl Edward Hasty will be held Thursday June 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Neal Hasty and Pastor Johnathan Varnes officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindsey Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with his grandsons serving as pall bearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
