Mr. Byron Brown, age 72, of Resaca, Georgia, departed this life Friday June 7, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 13, 1952, in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late James B and Jean Thomas Brown. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Brown, sister, Myrinda Blaylock. He was a truck driver and worked for Southeastern Freight Lines for 35 years. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Resaca, Georgia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Remona Diane Wright Brown of the residence; children, Bridget and Jame Muse of Ranger, GA, Rhonda and Tony Rogers of Cohutta, GA, Jason and Tracy Wilson of Murphy, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Grady Bartley of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Daniel and Sabrina Dowdy, Dewayne and Angel Dowdy, Dana and Andrew Nelson, Courtney and Isaiah Angwin, Preston and Jessica Rogers, Danyelle and Kevin Pruitt, Makenzie and Gage Wilson-Cochran, Shelbilyn and Peyton Wilson-Parker; sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, special friends, Ron and Trish Jackson, Marshal Cronan; brothers-in-law, Larry and Diane Wright, Steve and Angie Wright, Greg Wright, Danny Wright of Resaca, GA.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Byron Brown will be held Monday, June 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. from the Corinth Baptist Church with Reverend Dino Bishop and Reverend Grady Bartley officiating. He will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday. He will be laid to rest in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Daniel Dowdy, Preston Rogers, Makenzie Wilson-Cochran, Dawson Dowdy, Bryce Nelson, Ron Jackson honored to serve as pallbearers. Zane Crump, Cason Pruitt, Bubba Jase Pruitt will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday, and after 12:00 p.m. Monday, at the church until the service.
