Mr. Buford Timothy Halcomb, age 48, of Ranger, GA, departed this life, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the local hospital. Buford was born May 28, 1968 in Harlan, Kentucky, the son of the late Otis Halcomb Jr. He was also preceded by his father-in-law, Clifton Morris. Buford was a huge fan of the University of Kentucky and Gordon Central High School. He was a big supporter of the Blue and White. He was a faithful member of Northside church of Chirst.

Mr. Buford Timothy Halcomb is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Laura Halcomb, his daughter, Ashley Halcomb, whom he loved dearly; mother, Maudine Ealy Halcomb of Calhoun, Ga; brothers, Steve (Michelle) Turner of Middlesboro, KY, Grant Turner of Calhoun, GA; sisters, Una (Michael) Johnson of Calhoun, GA, Sara (David) Smith of Calhoun, GA; brother-in-law, Eric (Amy) Morris of Sugar Valley; mother-in-law, Sue Morris of Ranger, GA; nieces and nephews, Fletcher Morris, Breanna Morris, Gabe Smith, Abby Smith and Joey Johnson.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Buford Timothy Halcomb, will be held, Friday, December 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Minister Kent Bailey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Resaca church of Christ Cemetery with, David Smith, Fletcher Morris, Keith Dixon, Shane Bagley, John Halcomb and Mitchell Southerland serving as pallbearers. The men of Northside church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
