Mr. Buell David James Emberson, 50, of Ellijay, Georgia, departed this life Sunday evening, December 1, 2019. Buell was born June 7, 1969 in Ellijay, Georgia, a son of the late James Edward Emberson and Kathleen Sisson Catlin.  He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Buell Emberson, Vernie Black Emberson, Arthur Sisson and Elizabeth Goforth Rittenhouse.

He is survived by a son, David Rentz of Ashville, NC; step-daughter, Tasha Walker of Ellijay, GA; sisters, Diane Sanford of Ellijay, GA, Barbara and Michael Wooten of Jasper, GA, Lorie Emberson of Chatsworth, GA, and Kala and Anthony Messer of Ellijay, GA; brother, Arthur and Jaclyn of Ellijay, GA; step-father, Kevin Catlin of Chatsworth, GA; great-niece, Dixie Rose Hanna; brother-in-law, Bo Sanford of Ellijay; one grandson, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Buell David James Emberson will be held Monday, December 9, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. noon, at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Junior Maney and Reverend Pat Shelton officiating.  He will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Arthur Nicholson, Justin Sanford, Wayne Watkins, Arthur Nicholson, Jr., Larry Hughes, Mike Wooten, Jerry Ledford and Brent Flowers serving as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 10:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour.
