Mr. Buddy G. Hitt, age 85, of Reseca, Georgia, departed this life, Saturday September 5, 2020 at his home. He was born November 28, 1934 in Lafayette, GA, a son of the late William and Tennie Bishop Hitt. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Hitt, brother, Jack Hitt, sisters, Helen Cox, Evelyn Nelson. He was a graduate of Dalton High School. He was a inventor and musician. He was the CEO and Owner of Lift Truck Specialties, Modern Leaseways and All Line Poultry Equipment.

He is survived by his grandson, Arthur Hullender of Memphis, TN; special friends, Danny and Connie Stark, George Sanders of Dalton, GA, Jim and Mary Huff of Cleveland TN, Patty Peck, Lynn Swinehart of Epworth, GA, Bill Selvey and sons of Calhoun, GA.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Buddy G. Hitt will be held Wednesday September 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Lamar Detz officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday September 9, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flower will be accepted or donations can be made to St. Jude's or your favorite charity.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
