Mr. Brian Lackey, age 55, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Hospice of Chattanooga surrounded by his loving family. Brian was born September 12, 1966 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to William "Chick" Lackey and Helen Holman Lackey. He was self-employed as a cattle farmer and worked in construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his Harley.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, William "Chick" Lackey; sister, Brenda Lackey; father-in-law, Frank Smith; brother-in-law Henry Fee, and nephew, Chris Patterson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Tammy Ann Lackey; son, Dustin Lackey; mother, Helen Holman Lackey; step-daughter, Amanda (Robert) Campbell; grandchildren, Alex and Austin Owens; brother, William "Buddy" Lackey Jr; sister Tina (Don) Curtis; mother-in-law, Nell Smith; sisters-in-law, Teresa Fee, and Laura (Tony) Quinn; brother-in-law, Junior (Angie) Smith; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Pat Brannon and Mike Howard.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Brian Lackey will be held on Monday August 15, 2022 at 2 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Rev. Gary Jarrett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday August 15, 2022 from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will follow at Full Bible Trinity Free Church Cemetery with Dustin Lackey, Junior Smith, Alex Owens, Alex Clay, Shane Patterson, and Seth Maggard honored to serve as pallbearers.
