Obituary

On Sunday February 27 at 00:50 am Heaven gained its most precious angel.

Brian left this world peacefully for his final journey home to our Lord from the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family, listening to his favorite country radio station.

He was our angel on Earth and now he is our angel in Heaven. He is walking steady through the streets of gold completely healed, taking in all the beauty of the kingdom with his new found perfect vision, talking and singing with Jesus in no doubt the sweetest voice ever heard.

Brian was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Georgia Bulldogs fan. But mostly he loved the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders! He loved watching NASCAR, listening to music, collecting footballs and sharks, writing, drawing, eating Reese's and flirting with all the women!

He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. He had the purest soul and sweetest spirit. He had the best sense of humor and making him laugh was always a top priority. His laughter was contagious and the most beautiful sound in the world. Brian gave the best hugs, always giving a last little squeeze to make sure you knew just how much he loved you. And his kisses were the absolute sweetest!

Brian was a best friend to many but he shared a special bond with his niece Kenzleigh. They were two peas in a pod and she will miss taking care of him and being his personal assistant and very best pal.

Brian taught us many lessons in life but perhaps the best lessons we learned from him is to love like Christ does and to live your best life every single day. Those left waiting to join Brian in Heaven are: His Momma and Bonus Dad, Renee and Wayne Lisenbee; Daddy, David Griggs. Sisters and brothers-in-law Ashley and Jackie Dills, Samantha Stephens and Daniel Peppers. Nieces and nephews: Logan, Kenzleigh, Peyton, Josiah, Charleigh, Lincoln, Lenna, Jacob, Caleb and John Dills. Misty Thomas and Bryce Haney. Papaw James Griggs and wife Wanda. Granny Mammie Swinney. Several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. His best fur friends Cinnamon, Oscar and Emma.

He joins in Heaven his Mamaw Brenda Griggs, Pawpaw and Granny, Bobby and Nancy Smith and Uncle Buck Griggs.

Our family would like to say a special Thank you to Drs. Duchesne and Duhaime and their amazing staffs for taking excellent care of our precious Brian. Also, to Caris Hospice for bringing him and our family comfort in his final days.
