Mrs. Brenda Sue Young, age 70, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life Friday afternoon, April 1, 2022 at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Brenda was born April 5, 1951 in Dalton, Georgia.

She was a 1969 graduate of Dalton High School.  She was employed at Lexmark Carpet.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Lamar and Tenna Holcomb.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Joe Young of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Angela Young and her granddaughter, Nicole all of Chatsworth, GA; brother-in-law, Randall Townsend of Dalton, GA; nephews and nieces, Garry and Sherry Rice, Deborah Smith and Dale Holcomb, Shelby Romine all of Cedar Bluff, AL, Cindy Dutton, Susan Cooper of Calhoun, GA, Sammy Lamar of St. Augustine, FL.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Brenda Sue Young will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 2:00 o'clock p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Todd Pangle officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Gordon County, Georgia.  The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 12:00 o'clock p.m. Wednesday until the service hour.
