Ms. Brenda Carroll Overby, age 77, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday morning, December 10, 2020, at the local hospital.  Brenda was born January 16, 1943 in Dalton, Georgia.  Brenda was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, James Robert and Margaret Sneed and her mother and step-father, Margaret Carolyn Groves and Jay Martin and an infant brother and sister, James Robert Sneed, Jr. and Judy Ann Sneed.

She worked many years at Brown Printing.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Lamar "Eddie" Sosebee and Carol Ann Hargraves, Danny Lee Sosebee and Selena Hice; a granddaughter, Heather Hice all of Dalton, GA.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Brenda Carroll Overby will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 o'clock p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Brother Denny Smith officiating.  She will be laid to rest with her family at West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4:00 o'clock p.m. until 6:00 o'clock p.m. Monday and after 12:30 o'clock p.m. Tuesday until the service hour.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
