In Loving Memory of Brenda Joyce Crow
Brenda Joyce Crow, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, peacefully passed away January 1, 2024. She was surrounded by the love of her family and the comforting presence of her faith. Brenda is survived by her loving husband, David Crow, and their three children, Scott & Loretta Crow, Tammy & Jeremy Duke, and Matthew & Brittany Crow.
Other survivors include her sister and caregiver Judy Ellison, her brother Gary Stone (Nina), brothers-in-law Michael Crow (Susanne), Allen Crow (Carol), Jerry Crow (Brenda), and sister-in-law Ruth Epps (Robert).
Brenda's legacy extends beyond her immediate family to include her adoring grandchildren, Sarah & Joseph Joyave, Katie & Zack Nottingham, Brevin Duke, Aiden Crow, Grayson Crow, and Logan Crow. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Stella Joyave, Lucas Joyave, and Charlotte Nottingham. Brenda has transitioned to her eternal rest, where she is joyfully reunited with her departed loved ones, including her father and mother Bobby Stone, Thelma Baggett Stone, mother-in-law Maxine Crow, father-in-law Charles Crow, brother-in-law Richard Ellison, and sister-in-law MaryAnn McCarty. Her unwavering faith in God was a guiding light throughout her life. Brenda was a devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she served faithfully in various ministries. Her commitment to her church community and her love for the Lord touched the lives of many. Professionally, Brenda dedicated over 45 years of her life to Crutchfield's Furniture. Her strong work ethic, loyalty, and warm spirit endeared her to colleagues and customers alike. Brenda's legacy at Crutchfield's is not only one of hard work but also of kindness and compassion. Brenda's life was a testament to the values she held dear – faith, family, and service. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her love. The family invites friends and loved ones to join in a celebration of Brenda's life at Ponders Funeral Home in Dalton, GA. The officiants for the funeral service will be Reverend Brian Branam and Dr. Danny Cochran. A special thank you to her caregiver Hattie Fitzsimmons. Please keep the Crow family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May Brenda's soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and strength for all who mourn her passing.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Brenda Joyce will be held Friday January 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the Liberty Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Eric Ellison, Brandon Stone, Larry Johnson, Chris Crow, Jeremy Crow and David Baggett serving as pallbearers. She will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
