Mrs. Bonnie Rittenhouse, age 82, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday morning, January 25, 2025, at Ridgewood Manor. She was born July 31, 1942 in Dalton, Georgia a daughter of the late Jake Douglas and Willie America Ellen Jones Rolen. She was also preceded in death by her husband Franklin Rittenhouse, daughter Sonia Lambert, brothers Michael Rolen, Doug Rolen, sisters Vandora Burnette, Minnie Ruth Williams, Betty Davis, Shirley Smith, Elizabeth Icenhour, Margie Mae Gilbert.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Nathan and Donna Rittenhouse of Old Fort, TN, Greg Rittenhouse and Karen Burns of Rocky Face, GA, Barry Lambert, Cody Lambert of Cleveland, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Meleida Haynes and Will Smith of Chickamauga, GA; brothers, James Rolen of Dalton, GA, Alan Rolen of Tunnel Hill, GA; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bonnie Rittenhouse will be held Wednesday January 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Cary Ryan and Reverend Mike Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with Cody Lambert, Barry Lambert, Zander Matthews, Noah Burns, Jordan Rittenhouse and Will Smith serving as pallbearers.
