IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bobby Joe
Voyles
October 20, 1950 – February 26, 2022
In Memory of Bobby Joe Voyles
On February 26, 2022 Bobby Joe Voyles of Chickamauga, Ga gained his angel wings and went to his final home in Heaven when he took his last breath at Hamilton Medical Center at 7:46am. Bobby was a very unique, selfless, stubborn man. He lived by the moto "The Voyles Way or No Way" most of his life; until that big heart of his turned soft with the love of his grandbabies. He was such a family man, but them grandbabies were his pride and joy! They could talk him into anything, so it became their way or no way. Especially his Great Grand Daughter Saydee. She would talk him into playing school, baby dolls, or anything she could think of. They were 2 peas in a pod. His Great Grandson Rowdee was his buddy and always in his lap when he was around. Bobby (Papaw) always said "As soon as he was out of them diapers he would be his riding buddy". Anyone who knew Bobby knew what a selfless amazing man he was. He was the type of man who was always there for his family and friends no matter what. He never met a stranger. His big smile and contagious laugh would wrap you in comfort anytime he was around. Bobby worked at Shaw Industries for 46 years until he retired in January of 2020. Once he retired he started doing what he loved most which was time with family, and on Saturday's he would take trips with his good friend/son Michael Robert's (Big Mike) No telling where they would end up, but where ever it was they was having fun. Sunday's were for Church at New Friendship Baptist and visiting Family. One thing he enjoyed on Sunday's was eating lunch with his life long best friend Donald Weather's and his Wife Anna Weather's. He always loved to tell us about what Anna had made for lunch. Bobby will be remembered for his love of old cars, love for his family and friends, his crooked little hat, young soul, iconic facetime calls, big cookouts, and most of all how much he loved everyone he was around.
He was proceeded in death by his Father Amos Voyles, Mother Ruby Voyles, and Mother-n-law Audrey Padgett.
He is survived by his Oldest Daughter Kathy McCoy and her Husband Timothy McCoy of Dalton, Ga. His youngest Daughter Angela Bowling and her husband Robert Bowling of Dalton, Ga. Five Grandkids; Jessica Cabe and her husband Joshua Cabe of Dalton, Patrick McCoy of Dalton, Nicole Weaver and her Husband Michael Weaver of Dalton, Ga., Stephanie and Dakota Bowling of Dalton, Ga. 8 Great Grandkids Bentlee Chitwood, Saydee Chitwood, Gentree Cabe, Rowdee Cabe, Alyssa Chambers, Carson Weaver, Braylen Weaver, and Lyla Weaver. 3 Brothers Junior Voyles and his Wife Barbara, Jackie Voyles and his wife Pam, Allen Voyles and his Wife Melody. 1 sister Sue Dale and her belated Husband David Dale. The Mother of his daughter's Phyllis Ellis. Bobby will be missed by so many people because for his family he was their rock, but we can all see him driving his cherry red 1980 corvette into the sunset jokingly holding up his nubby middle finger saying this world wasn't worth the other half. He lived such a good adventurous life, and he will never be forgotten.
