Mr. Bobby Lloyd Hightower , age 54, of Murray County, Georgia, departed this life Saturday afternoon, October 3, 2020 at the Hamilton Medical Center.

Bobby was born October 10, 1965 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Bobby Joe and Annie Mae Dills Hightower.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Davis and his grandparents, Henry and Nola Hightower and Jesse and Ellie Dills.

He was a Baptist and was an HV/AC technician.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Holifield-Hightower of the residence and would have celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary, December 2, 2020; sons, Matthew Hightower of Dalton, GA, Christopher Honeycutt of Rome, GA; daughter, Amanda Barnett of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Cynthia "Cindy" Sissom of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Randy and Glenda Hightower, Michael Hightower, Don Hightower all of Dalton, GA, Gary and Crystal Hightower of Chatsworth, GA; brother-in-law, Ricky Davis of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Zoe Honeycutt, Masen Barnett, Micah Barnett, Zurie Honeycutt and Deka Honeycutt; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Bobby Lloyd Hightower will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey and Reverend Reggie Temples officiating.  He will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, with Cole Langley, Hayden Hightower, Dillon Hightower, Derick Hightower, Jim Bridges, Alan Blaich, Lee Smelley and Chuck Caldwell honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
