Bobby Gene Fisher, 87, of Liberty Road, Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life in the comfort of his home on Saturday morning,
Bobby was born on November 6, 1930 in Vanzandt County, Texas. He was a son of the late Erven L and Clara Patterson Fisher. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Oldham Fisher.
During his working life, for the majority of the time he was federally employed as a Civil Engineer with the United States Government. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He attained the rank of Corporal during his military career.
He had lived in Calhoun for over the last ten years of his life, coming from Beeville, Texas.
Bobby is survived by his daughters, Jenn Dixon of Calhoun, Stephanie Oliveri of Acworth, Georgia, and Bret Hodgin of Dawsonville, Georgia; brother, E.L Fisher, of Midway, Texas; and his sister, Shirley Townsend of Florida; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren also survive.
At Mr. Fisher's request, he will be cremated, and no formal services will be held at this time.
