Mr. Bobby Judson Faith, age 88, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Regency Park
Bobby was born June 4, 1935 in the Redwine Cove in Whitfield County, Georgia, a son of the late Curtis Henry and Mary Alice Bandy Faith. He was also preceded in death by his young son, James Faith, a sister, Mary Lois Faith, brothers, Henry E. Faith, Benjamin Jasper "B.J." Faith, George Paul "Billy" Faith, a daughter-in-law, Saba Puryear Faith, brother-in-law, Gene Collins and sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Faith.
Bobby was born and raised in the Redwine Cove, in Whitfield County, Georgia, where he grew up working the fields with his brothers. He was employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad and retired after forty-two years of service. He was a hard worker and provided well for his family. He taught his son the value of a well-managed life. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and he was a dedicated grandfather who deeply loved his grandchildren. His grandchildren dearly loved him and keep many good and happy memories of life with him. Bobby was a friendly man who knew most everyone in the Carbondale Community. He was known to have a meticulous garden and a beautiful yard. In his later years he attended Swamp Creek Baptist Church. A special thanks to Bobby's friend, Darryl Brown, for all the day trips and the many visits that brightened Bobby's days.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy Bobby and Anna Ward Faith of Dalton, GA; granddaughter, Summer Faith Land (Josh); grandson, Colter Judson Faith (Ansley); sisters, Myrtie Faith Collins, Ida Nell Faith Jenkins(Lamar); brother, Johnny Faith; wife, Marie Baxter Faith; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Bobby Judson Faith, will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend George Ross and Reverend Donny Caylor officiating. He will be laid to rest with his family at the Redwine Cove Cemetery with, Mafi Tumaua, Jeff Bramlett, Rodney Row, Jake Brooker, Jeb Brooker, Joey Jenkins, Darryl Brown, David Blalock and Josh Jenkins honored to serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friend at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday until the service hour.
