Mr. Bobby Gene Davis, age 74, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, August 14, 2018 at the Woodhaven Senior Living Center in Trenton, Georgia. He was born September 14, 1943 in Knoxville, TN, a son of the late Melvin Loy and Nellie Davis Smith. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Georgia and Mark Partin of Lafayette, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin Davis and Tina Kelly of Lafayette, GA, Robert Davis, David and Odilia Weaver of Chatsworth, GA; mother of his children, Janie Biddix of Lafayette, GA; brothers, Clayton Williams of Knoxville, TN, Howard Williams of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Ronald Grissom of Maynardville, TN, Barbara and Mark Maples of Powell, TN; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Bobby Gene Davis will be held Saturday August 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Lindsey Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Donald Young officiating. He will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.  He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with the American Legion Post 112 in charge of military rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
