Ms. Bobbie Jean Tommie, age 88, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away December 05, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 20, 1935 in Gadsden, Alabama a daughter of the late Reverend F.L. and Angeline Turner Thornburgh. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robbin Tommie, infant twins William Glenn Tommie, Jimmy Lynn Tommie.

She is survived by her children, Marsha and Terry Weaver, Karan Federick Tommie, Lisa Burns, Jerry and Jerri Tommie, Nancy Neal, Sarah Teasley; grandchildren, Tiffany and John Andrews, Kerri McKinney, Heather Tommie, Amanda Tommie, Kimberly Tommie, Grace Tommie, Chris Maggard, Ezekial Neal, Randi Tommie; great grandchildren, Carter and Turner Andrews, Malakhai McKinney, Rylynn and Benson Faulkner, Sebastian and Chloe Chotro, Kacen McConnell, Anna Tommie, Mazie Quinn, Keighdan Tommie, Emma Tommie.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bobbie Jean Tommie will be held Tuesday December 12, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. from the Ponders Calhoun Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive First Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Piedmont, Alabama. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
