Mrs. Bobbi-Jo Rogers, 40, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life on Thursday afternoon, March 1, 2018 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia after thirteen years of declining health
She was born on September 9, 1977 in Louisa, Kentucky, the only daughter of Vickie Hewlett Hogston of Fairmount, Georgia, and the late Bob Hogston. Along with her dad she was also preceded in death by her infant son, William Conner Rogers.
Bobbi-Jo was a 1996 graduate of Gordon Central High School in Calhoun. She loved her family dearly, and treasured the time they spent together. She always looked forward to major holidays, Thanksgiving, as it would bring the family together. She never met a stranger. Her family was priority over everything in life. She was full of life herself, love, and laughter. She was an avid animal lover, and animals loved her just as much. Her husband, Lamar, was the love of her life.
She is survived by her loving husband of seventeen years, Lamar Rogers of Resaca, Georgia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Tiffany Hewlett of the Fairmount, Curtis and Angie Hogston of Kentucky, Richard and Pam Hogston of Calhoun, Georgia; special friends that she considered family, Tina Fann of Calhoun, Georiga, Sandy Hall of Fairmount, Georgia, and Debbie and Blake Abernathy of Cartersville, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends also survive.
The Rogers family will receive friends at the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home on Sunday, from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
Following the visitation Mrs. Rogers will be cremated to fulfill her wishes.
