Mrs. Blanca Mendez Gonzalez, age 56, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, December 11, 2022, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Blanca was born February 18, 1966, in Tacuarembo, Uruguay, a daughter of the late Genaro Mendez Viera and Blanca Nilda Piedra Luque.  She retired from Shaw Industries.

She is survived by her husband, Apolinar Gonzalez of the residence; sons and daughter-in-law, Hector and Brenda Gutierrez of Forest Park, GA, Julio Gutierrez of Chatsworth, GA, and Patito Mendez of Calhoun, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Gutierrez and Aaron Evans, Betty Mendez, Veronica and Jose Rosales all of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Natalia Gutierrez, Celeste Evans, Matthew Evans, Eleny Orozco-Gutierrez, Julyn Mendez and Adrian; her dogs, Pachi, Princess, Languito, Piscito, Lily and Leo; brothers, Victor Mendez and Genaro Mendez; sisters, Clotilde Mendez and Eugenia Borolaggory; special friend, Rena Clark of Calhoun, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Blanca Mendez Gonzalez will be held Friday evening, December 16, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with her family and close friends delivering eulogies.  The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 6:00 p.m. Friday until the service hour.

The family request no one wear black, please wear bright colors.
