Mr. Billy Jack Turpin Jr., age 46, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Billy was born December 3, 1967 in Harriman, TN. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Jack Turpin Sr.

He is survived by his son, Billy Jack Turpin III; daughter, Joanna Turpin of Tunnel Hill, GA; mother and step father, Barbara and Lloyd Porter; sister, Angelia Kinney of Kingston, TN; grandson, Jaxson Turpin.

Services to celebrate the life of Billy Jack Turpin Jr. will be held Thursday June 5, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
